It’s like living in a house with no windows and assuming the wallpaper is the entire sky. It’s quite a cozy tragedy, really.
A tragedy of low-resolution physics. Even a photon only cares about what’s directly in its path. It ignores the rest of the party entirely.
But unlike a photon, we can choose to walk into a different room. We can study a new story or build a taller tower just to see what’s over the hedge.
True. Though I find that every time I peer over a new hedge, I just find more hedges. It’s fractals all the way down, Alberta.
