We collect only the data needed to provide the service:

• Account data — your email address, display name, profile photo, and timezone.
• Conversations — the full text of your chats with Albert and Alberta, including any images or files you share.
• Memories — facts and preferences Albert remembers about you across conversations.
• People graph — names, relationships, and context about people you mention.
• Goals & reminders — goals you're tracking and reminders you've set.
• Images — images Albert generates for you and photos you upload.
• Notes — freeform notes you create in Albert's notepad.
• Usage data — message counts and feature settings (e.g. your chosen companion, notification preferences).
• Referral data — your referral code and the email addresses of people you invite (if they sign up).

• To provide and personalise your conversations with Albert and Alberta.
• To remember your context across sessions so you don't have to repeat yourself.
• To generate and store images you request, and to let you share them.
• To send optional messages you've opted into — daily check-ins and weekly digest emails.
• To operate the referral programme and credit system.
• To safeguard users — conversations flagged for safety concerns are reviewed by a trained administrator.
• To maintain and improve the service. We do not sell your data, use it to train models, or share it with advertisers.

Your conversations and memories are private to your account. They are never shared between user accounts.

A trained administrator can review conversations that Albert flags for safeguarding concerns (e.g. someone in crisis or at risk). This access is limited to protecting users and is not used for any other purpose.

Our hosting and AI infrastructure providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements, solely to deliver the service. They are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual conversations, memories, people, goals, reminders, and images at any time — and you can delete your entire account and everything in it from Settings, which is immediate and irreversible.

Safeguarding records flagged for review may be retained for a limited period after deletion where required to protect users, in line with our safeguarding obligations.

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of all your data (use "Export my data" in Settings).
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data by editing your profile, memories, and people entries directly.
• Erasure — delete your account and all associated data from Settings at any time.
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable JSON file.
• Restriction & objection — ask us to limit or stop processing your data.
• Withdraw consent — turn off check-ins, digest emails, or push notifications in Settings at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, use the in-app controls or contact us via the details below. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We use only essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and the app working. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies that follow you across the web.
